Band qualify for Nationals again! Plans progressing well for Germany

Vacancies within the band

The Band of the Cheshire Constabulary was formed in 1967. In our history, we have performed at many prestigious venues, including numerous civil occasions, and the honour of playing at Royal events.

In common with most other bands, players perform entirely in their own free time, and are all proud to represent the Cheshire Constabulary. It's a common ( though understandable) misconception that the members of the band work within the Police Service. Whilst some do, most of our players come from all walks of life.

The Band is a ‘Traditional Brass Band’ with a wide concert repertoire. We are also a accomplished marching band, led by our Corps of Drums.

The band is primarily a concert band, and proud to be so. That said we recently returned to the contest stage after a long absence and have already made an impact gaining promotion to the third section and a place in the 2009, and now 2010 National Brass Band Championship Finals. We hope to build on that success in the the forthcoming years.

We sincerely hope that you enjoy your visit to our Website. If you have any comments about the band or indeed this site, why not leave a message on our Cheshire Police Band Guest Book. We also like to publish examples of the many kind comments that we receive elsewhere. Take a look at what others have to say about the band. Letters of thanks

The band appears by kind permission of the Chief Constable Mr David Whatton.
