The Band and Drums of the Cheshire Constabulary are proud to represent Cheshire Police with musical performances throughout Cheshire, the UK and beyond. There has been a police band in Cheshire for over 60 years and we continue to entertain and impress with our concert and arena performances.
The band and drums are as popular as ever with demand for our services often exceeding our availability.
The band is primarily a concert band with a varied and entertaining repertoire. We undertake quite a diverse range of engagements from full concerts, civic functions, parades, to "small band" engagements at community centres and schools.
In 2009 the band once again sought grading entering the North West Area qualification contests. Since 2010 the band rose from unclassified to first section in the "banding gradings". However contests are not what the band is about and we enter just one a year. The band is currently third section.
Led by our Corps of Drums we also undertake marching and "tattoo" style arena performances in traditional police uniform. Our smart and impressive Corps of Drums undertake engagements both with and independently of the band.
The band is made up of volunteers from all walks of life, not just the police service and all of the musicians donate their time and talent free of charge.
