I commenced playing in the Salvation Army at the age of 11 at Norwich in Norfolk.

I started on cornet (not my favorite instrument) and over the years have worked my way down the instruments, untill I couldnt get any lower! Favorite instruments where tenor horn & euphonium.

I seperated banding from religion when I got married and moved from Surrey to Staffordshire.

In my fifty years of playing I have played in many bands at different levels and even been paid for my services would you believe.

These have included: Stone Town, Lichfield Concert, Rugeley Power Station, RAF Stafford, Walsall Highgate, Royal Doulton, City of Chester & Wrexham Brass. Favourite Test Piece - Carnival Romain.
