Euphonium Player Moves On

Liz Rankin our 2nd Euph player has decided to leave the band.

Liz was finding it increasingly difficult to balance shift work with other commitments and has decided to have a break from banding. Liz had been with the band for two years and we would like to thank her for her commitment to the band over the past two years.

We are now seeking a second Euph player and hope to find a replacement before the National Finals at Harrogate in September. There is some flexibility as our current solo baritone, Laura, who is a former Euph player would be willing to step aside if someone preferred to take on the solo baritone position as she would then move on to the vacant 2nd Euph chair.

Our band is a committed and friendly band with plans in early stages for a tour and CD recording in 2010, in addition to the appearance at the National Brass Band finals this September.
