In only it's first year after promotion to the third section the band has once again qualified for the National Finals at Harrogate which will take place in the last week of September.

At the North West Regional Contest held at Blackpool the band were placed third ahead of some fine opposition

It is our second successive appearance at the National finals. In 2009 we competed in the fourth section gaining a very creditable 6th place.

We are delighted to be representing the North West once more at the Nationals and many congratulations to all the bands that have gained a place at the finals.

Good Band sounds to open. Fine at "A" -well controlled.

Good at "b" the music has shape just need more sop into "C"

Very fine into Allegro agitato.

Excellent at Agitato- lots of spirit and life - fine to "G"

Baritone a touch under pitch - be careful

Patetico - this could flow just a little more (for me) accoms not always balanced but confident and lyrical solo playing noted. Nice Rall

Good dynamics at Allegro - almost into "K"

Trombone just a little recitent - but music still has shape

Andante well controlled just needs to be a little more expressivo ( for me) but musical all the same.

Nice sounds at affetuoso. Fine Cornet Cadenza.

Marzialle has panache - good dynamics the music is always moving forward - good build up .

Good at S but watch tuning 2 bars into U
