On Sunday 26th September the band appeared at the National Finals of the Brass Band Association which was held at Harrogate.

Being there at all was quite an achievement as this was our second successive appearence and the first in the third section.

It was quite an ask for the band being just a week after our successful trip to Germany but the band had been aquitting itself extremely well in rehearsals. Unfortunately (as sometimes happens to all bands), we didn't perform to our best when it mattered and only managed 10th place.

A disappointing (but fair) result and our congratulations go to the Delph band who gained first place.

That said the band is about much more than competitions (in fact they form a very small part of what we do) and we are now looking forward to up and coming concerts, the first being at Nantwich on the 17th October, and of course our busy Christmas season that is not too far ahead.
