On Thursday 13th May the band all turned up at Winsford HQ in full uniform to check that everyones uniforms fitted and looked as smart as possible and to give those members new to the band advice as how to look after and wear Police uniform.

We also wore black caps for the first time in over 30 years (as opposed to the white ones). They not only look very smart but this brings us in to line with most other Police bands and will help when we perform combined engagements such as Manchester Pride in August.

The band also had its first practice runs at the Whit Friday music for this year. It was our first rehearsal with the band being schooled under the watchful eye of Band Sgt Tony jackson.

Over the next weeks we will be working hard to improve the marching and deportment but considering we have several new members the band who have not marched with us before we are confident it will be very good by May 28th!
